Yin & Yang Theory

It understands that everything is composed of two complementary energies, one of the energy is Yin and the other is Yang. Ideally, Yin and Yang should always remain in balance and harmony.

The Five-element Theory

The theory states that the five major Organ Systems are each related to a particular element of Metal, Wood, Water Fire or Earth, giving a skilled TCM practitioner a range of metaphoric characteristics for addressing symptoms and health problems.

With the built-up area of 8,000 square feet, GHHS Healthcare – TCM Centre houses 18 Tuina and therapy rooms for individuals and couples, Chinese Physician rooms, Herbs Bar, TCM Pharmacy, Reading lounge, VIP room. TCM Gallery and Members lounge, which are all furnished with a traditional Chinese interior. For health Qigong exercises. a green Health Qigong Garden lawn with a pleasant view has been specially designed.

The centre is staffed with qualified and certified Chinese Physicians, TCM Tuinalogists, TCM Reflexologists and Herbalists approved by Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia to provide professional TCM services.

  • Traditional Pulse Reading & Chinese Diagnosis

    TCM Pulse Reading employs the art of Traditional Palpation method, combined with other traditional sensory skills by our qualified Chinese Physician. By touching your pulse, the physician can analyze your health condition and discover the disharmony in your body that needs to be rebalanced. He will then prescribe the right Chinese herbal remedy and recommend proper therapies to help unblock your QI, bringing it back to its natural state of wellness.

  • TCM Body Tuina Therapy

    The Chinese term “Tuina” translater into “push-grasp” in English, and this particular art of healing has been in used for more than 2,000 years in China. This therapeutic method is performed through various hand techniques such as brush, knead, roll/press, and rub. The areas between each joint are massaged to stimulate the body’s defense in order to get the energy (Qi) moving in both the meridians and the muscles. It can strengthen the body’s resistance against disease, thus preventing invasion of pathogens especially in middle-aged, elderly, and physically weak people. In conclusion, “Tuina” can be used for both prevention and treatment of diseases.

  • TCM Acupuncture

    Acupuncture is a method of healing developed in China at least 2,000 years ago and has been scientifically proven by modern medicine. It helps to regulate the flow of vital energy and blood by inserting and manipulating fill-form needles into points on the body with the aim relieving pain and therapeutic purposes.

  • TCM Cupping (Ba Guan) Therapy

    Cupping is an ancient Chinese technique that helps stimulate the flow of bodily fluids (such as blood and lymph) and energy without using needles. A partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues. When the cups are left in place on the skins for a few minutes, blood stasis is formed and localized and healing takes place. It calms the sympathetic nerves, allows deep relaxation, and is widely practiced in both Western and Eastern medical practices.

  • TCM Scrapping (Gua Sha) Therapy

    This therapy regulates organ functions, removes blockage and pain. It regulates static blood by promoting normal circulation between the muscles, tissues, and organs directly beneath the surface treated. The patient experiences immediate improvement in stiffness, pain and mobility. Normal metabolic processes are restored by the movement of fluids as nutrients are carried to the tissues and metabolic wastes are carried away. The unique part of this treatment is that the red spots only appear on places where the disorders are hidden, thus making it easier for the practitioner to address the problem.

  • TCM Chiropractic Treatment

    Our spine changes and develops problems over time, just like our teeth, eyes, and heart as we get older. If left unchecked, these changes may lead to pain, stiffness or chronic disease. TCM Chiropractic specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and management of health conditions that are due to problems related to bones, joints, muscles and nerves close to the spine. It helps to remove postural imbalance and structural misalignments that are accumulated over time.

  • Moxibustion Therapy

    Moxibustion therapy is a treatment that dispels cold and dampness from the body through the burning of a type of herb called Mugwort. It is useful in treating a wide range of conditions including body aches and pain, cold and flu, and poor digestion. This herb, or moxa, comes in many forms such as, cigar-like moxa rolls, raw rice grain-sized pieces, compressed smokeless sticks and cones. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Mugwort is considered to be earm, acrid and bitter when used in herbal prescriptions. As soon as it is lit up, it warms the body’s channel and helps to break stagnation, clear phlegm, ease blood flow and balance the Qi. Moxibustion can be considered an equivalent therapy to acupuncture, being used to stimulate Qi flow points of selected areas of the body.

  • TCM Fu Yang Therapy

    Fu Yang therapy is considered an external traditional Chinese treatment, combining the methods of moxibustion, scrapping (Gua Sha), massage (Tuina) and cupping. By providing the warming effects of scrapping, moxibustion, infra-red rays and magnetic therapy on the skin, meridians, acupoints, and collateral channels, Fu Yang stimulates the vital energy flow and blood circulation, as well as expels cold and dampness in our body. It is therefore an effective way of alternative healthcare and wellness.

  • Gallbladder Meridian Therapy

    Also known as QianDanJing, it is a unique method of healing in which the Gallbladder Meridian of Foot, Shaoyang is stimulated to improve the secretion of bile juice, further encouraging the improved assimilation of nutrients from the food we consume also to facilitate the production of blood in the body.
