Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia Region Pageant 2009

Once again, Palace of the Golden Horses is the official hotel for this prestigious Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia Region Pageant 2009, which was held over 2 weeks in the Hotel from 11 August to 21 August 2009.

A total of 17 contestants stayed at the Hotel and while they were here, some of the activities the contestants participated in during their stay are the Wawa Splash Cruise from Palace of the Golden Horses to the MINES Resort City, Swimwear Shooting, Grooming Classes, Pop Dance Class and Interview for Miss Fit and Fun at the Beer Garden.

The grand final dinner was held on the 21 August 2009 at the Royal Ballroom. About 370 guests attended the event including special invitees such as Simon Yam, Hong Kong’s famous actor, Amber Chia, Malaysian supermodel, Puan Sri Chelsia Cheng, a famous Hong Kong celebrity, Dianna Lee, General Manager of Palace of the Golden Horses and Carrie Lee, the event Organizing Director of Miss Chinese Cosmo Pageant.

Accountant graduate Ong Weisian, aged 26 years old from Malaysia was crowned Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia Region 2009 followed by the first runner up Shen Ling, 21 while Rasima, 26 from Indonesia, took the 3rd place. Ong was also crowned Miss Healthy and Beauty and Miss Perfect Skin and she will represent Southeast Asia to compete in the 2009 Miss Chinese Cosmos Pageant final in Macau this October.

This esteemed event was made even more memorable when guests were pampered with an 8-course Chinese set menu prepared by our award-winning culinary team.
