Exclusive Hari Raya Cake to the Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di Pertuan Agong
In commemoration of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, Palace of the Golden Horses recently baked and designed an intricately cake to the Yang Di Pertuan Agong for the festive occasion which was held at the Istana Negara. This royal cake is decorated with the splendors of green colour to mark the theme colour of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. The 3-tier palatial cake weighting 40 kilograms was square in shape with intricate and detailed Hari Raya motifs of flowers and pattern.
According to the hotels Executive Pastry Chef, Kumar Deivendra, the dates butter cake filled with 600 pieces of gold colour flowers inside took him and his two assistants 2 weeks of work from conceptualization to completion. The cake standing 4 feet in height and 36 by 36 inches in width with a square base was bordered with bright Hari Raya wordings. One of the most unique features of the cake is the light tower on the top tier of the cake which rotates and lighted up by 8 numbers of 22 volts bulb.
Having had the highest achievement in baking and decorating cakes and winning gold medals in the World Cup – Expogast 2002 in Luxembourg and ERFURT Germany Chef Olympic 2004, he wanted the presentation to be something unique with a touch of royalty and symbolization of the festive occasion. Present at the event were Dianna Lee, General Manager, Executive Pastry Chef, Kumar Deivendra and Farah Halim, Public Relations and Communications Manager of Palace of the Golden Horses.
