Celebration of Chinese New Year at Palace of the Golden Horses

This year, Palace of the Golden Horses organized its annual Chinese New Year luncheon at our award winning Kim Ma Chinese Restaurant. To usher in The Year of Tiger, Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, the founder of Palace of the Golden Horses hosted this splendid luncheon by inviting the special dignitaries mainly The Sultan of Perlis- Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail and Yang Maha Mulia Raja Perempuan Besar Perlis Tengku Budriah Bt. ALmarhum Tengku Ismail, Tun Mahathir bin Mohamad and Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah binti Haji, Tan Sri Hashim Ali as well as Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew and his family to jubilate the special moment of Chinese New Year.

As customary practice, Yee Sang played as first dish to commence the celebration. Accompanied by Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew together with Puan Sri Tan Bee Hong and Diana Lee, General Manager of Palace of the Golden Horses, our special guests adopted Chinese culture by uttering auspicious wishes out loud while tossing the Yee Sang! The signature dishes innovated by Chef Roy such as styleBaked Stuffed Scallop with Prawn Paste in Mint Sauce and Crispy Flour Roll as well as Double-boiled Sea Bamboo Soup with Abalone and Sea Cucumber were played great role to enact the true taste of fusion Cantonese cuisine.
The luncheon was also entertained by an entertaining and magical performance which had rejoiced the ambience and highlighted the celebration. Before the event came to an end, a traditional and exhilarating lion dance showcase mesmerized the audiences.
